Famous Politicians Who Use Gwoyeu Luomaatzyh 用拼調式羅馬拼音(國語羅馬字)拼姓名的政治人物

In Taiwan, many important people use Gwoyeu Luomaatzyh/Romatzyh [tonal spelling, National Romanization] to spell all or part of their names. This includes politicians from major parties: the KMT 中國國民黨(Kuo Min Tang / Gwomindaang [guómíndɑ̌ng in Pinyin]), also called the Nationalist Party), the DPP 民主進步黨 (Minjinndaang, Democratic Progressive Party in English [Mínjìndɑ̌ng in Pinyin) and even the New Party. Entire Names Spelled in Gwoyeu Romatzyh:

(1) Former Premier Jiang Yihuah 江宜樺, whose entire name is correctly spelled in National Romanization, is obviously a well-educated gentleman who pays attention to significant details. Premier Jiang's name would be Jiɑ̄ng Yíhuɑ̀ in Pinyin).

(2) Wang Jinpyng 王金平, a modest, soft-spoken gentleman with a fine education, a former mathematics teacher who realizes the importance of noticing fine details: his entire name is correctly spelled in National Romanization (= Wɑ́ng Jīnpíng in Pinyin). Mr Wang is the President of the Legislative Yuan.

Names Partially Spelled in Gwoyeu Romatzyh:

(1) Former President Ma Ying-jeou 馬英九 (should be spelled Maa Ingjeou in GR [National Romanization]/Mɑ̌ Yíngjiǔ in Pinyin)

(2) Former Vice President Wu Den-yih 吳敦義 (should be spelled Wu Duenyih in GR [National Romanization]/Wú Dūnyì in Pinyin.

(3) President Tsai Ing-wen 蔡英文 (should be spelled Tsay Ingwen in National Romanization/Cɑ̀i Yīngwén in Pinyin).

(4) Yu Shyi-kun 游錫堃, former chairperson of the DPP (should be spelled You Shyikuen in GR/Yóu Xíkūn in Pinyin).

(5) Chen Jinn-lih 陳進利 (should be spelled Chern Jinnlih in GR/Chén Jìnlì in Pinyin) is the Vice President of the Control Yuan.

(6) Jaw Shaw-kong 趙少康 (should be spelled Jaw Shawkang in GR/Zhɑ̀o Shɑ̀okɑ̄ng in Pinyin), the former Chairman of the New Party, and now the Chairman of BCC (Broadcasting Corporation of China: Jonggwo Goangbo Gongsy/Zhōngguó Guɑ̌ngbō Gōngsī in Pinyin). Mr Jaw has a rich voice which he used to good effect when he was a DJ on UFO Radio.

    不知現在全台灣的交通路標上面所標的,已經是全球統一使用的漢語拼音了.
    老師您為了能夠將台灣文化中,漸漸被淡忘的國語羅馬字拼音法保留下來所做的努力和用心, 希望可以得到大眾的迴響,因為這已將成為台灣非常寶貴的文化遺產了!
